Humble Beginnings ... Very Humble Beginnings

Welcome to the Toy Shed, a site where I will be displaying my custom action figure projects in greater detail, including work-in-progress pictures, motivations, inspirations, and techniques.  I really enjoy doing this custom work, and I greatly appreciate your time in looking through my projects.
I thought I'd start with my first projects, which means that we are going back many, many years.

The Good, The Bad, and The Angry

These three HeroClix were my first customs.  Admittedly they're pretty rough, but I'm still proud of how the Hulk came out.  The original HeroClix set didn't include the Green Goblin, opting instead for Hobgoblin.  I decided to correct this oversight by repainting a Hobgoblin with the traditional green and purple of his predecessor and cutting off the original's cape.

I always like the idea of alternate looks for characters, so I did a quick and dirty take on Daredevil's yellow costume.  I've never been terribly happy with him, but it was good practice.

But of course, the worst offense was the lack of a Grey Hulk in the set.  I was most happy with the way he came out as he was the first one I ever did and I still feel that he turned out the best.

I especially like how he looks compared to the original figure.

BFFs

That's all for now.  In the coming days I'll be posting my recent works and current projects.  Until next time, thanks for looking!
